Moderately interesting meteor museum. They do talks in German about the famous local meteorite and he kindly offered me a talk in English afterwards but I was short on time. Somehow I found the museum underwhelming.
The subject matter is fascinating and there is lots of good material here. For a mixed company, some of whom do not know German, there is a hurdle to overcome in that all text and multimedia material is in German. They do have a tablet with English language support, but we had to ask for it and it is still not quite the same. Also, a more consistent story could be told rather than overloading with facts.

Staff is very helpful
We enjoyed it very much. It covered various topics besides the Ries event: Moon landing, some geology and even touched evolution. There were just enough interactive and multimedia elements to keep our daughter interested.
Small but so knowledge rich place that I’d love to go there couple more times.
I give 3 stars because there is not a single bit of text in English. The museum itself it's very beautiful and interesting for space lovers but I find it really hard to believe that everyone that goes there knows perfect German. I recommend it only if you know German pretty well, otherwise you will not understand very much from it.

Great site! Amazing selection of meteorites from around the globe. Two movies discussing the science, and both movies can be played in English.
Very interesting museum, where one can learn about the geological processes of rock formation and see a moon rock as well as pieces of asteroids. Educational and well worth the time.
